Kennel Management

Kennel software that knows which run every dog is in

Draw your facility once. After that, the same floor plan drives the occupancy board, the front desk, the day's care schedule and the card on the run door. No whiteboard, no clipboard, no second copy of anything to keep in sync.

HeelYeah! is the all-in-one platform for the whole client journey, from first inquiry to lifelong client. It captures leads through your own funnel, then runs sessions, classes, board & train, day training, homework, and billing in one place, so you win more clients and the ones you win actually stick.

Live kennel board showing occupancy across every run, with a needs-attention rail

One floor plan, the whole building

Every kennel screen reads the same layout, so occupancy, availability, care and paperwork can never drift apart.

Live Occupancy Board

Every run in the building on one screen, in grid, timeline or list view, colour-coded by stay type. Occupied, arrivals, departures, day guests, runs in turnover and vaccines due across the top, and a rail at the front for any dog booked in but still waiting on a run.

The Needs-Attention Rail

The things that bite you at 5pm, listed before they do: a vaccine expiring before checkout, a dog with no run assigned, a run that has been in turnover all afternoon, a run flagged out of service, a double-booked run, and care that came due and was never ticked. Flip any run to available, cleaning or out of service from the floor plan and it stops being offered as free capacity until somebody finishes the turnover.

Front Desk That Runs The Door

Today's arrivals and departures side by side with vaccination status on every row, the in-house list, and an availability finder that answers "have you got room for a Great Dane the week of the 14th?" in one query. Check in, check out, assign or move a run without leaving the screen.

The Care Floor

The whole building's feeding, medication, turnout, potty, play and grooming for the day, grouped into morning, midday and evening, with the dose and the amount on the row so nobody has to go and look it up. Tick it as it happens; anything that came due and did not get done surfaces on the board.

A House Routine Every Dog Inherits

Set the facility's feed, medication and turnout slots once and every boarding dog picks them up automatically. Any dog can be adjusted on top of it, and those adjustments keep their identity when you change the house routine, so a dog on an 18:00 turnout the rest of the building stopped doing still gets one and says so.

Boarding Requests, Queued

Clients request a stay from their own portal, a run is held for it automatically, and it waits in a Requests queue with the closest to expiry at the top. You approve or decline; approving raises the invoice at your per-night rate. Turn client-submitted requests off whenever you want.

A day in the building, in order.

  • ✓Before the day starts: the board says who is arriving, who is leaving, and whose vaccines expire before checkout
  • ✓The dog arrives: check in at the desk, confirm the feeding and medication with the owner, print the kennel card as the dog walks to its run
  • ✓Through the day: the care floor lists every feed, dose and turnout in the building, ticked off as it happens
  • ✓Anything missed: raised on the board rather than discovered tomorrow
  • ✓A run empties: flip it to cleaning, and it stops being offered as free space until turnover is done
  • ✓A client asks for next month: their request queues up with a run already held against it, waiting on your yes
  • ✓The dog goes home: check out at the desk, and the balance is collected against the stay

Kennel management questions

Turn day care on for the days and hours you run it, and the front desk books, checks in and checks out day guests the same way it handles boarding. Play groups are capped by size with a manager override for one-off exceptions, the vaccine gate blocks or warns at check-in depending on how you configure it, and a staff-only Day Care Eligible tag marks which dogs are cleared for group play. The board's play-group section shows a live headcount for each group. Day care is priced by the full or half day plus your add-ons, and a drop-in visit is charged at drop-off or at pickup, whichever you prefer, with any check-out changes, such as switching to a full day, adding an add-on or a late-pickup fee, landing on that same visit invoice. A grace period applies before the late-pickup fee, and the fee is waivable. Day play for a boarded dog is included in the stay or billed per day. A group check-in handles the whole morning rush in one submit, with each dog still gated and charged on its own. At check-out you record belongings hand-back and who collected the dog as 'collected by', whether that is the owner, an authorized pickup or a one-off name. Day guests show up on the same building-wide Care Floor as your boarding dogs, a single-day kennel card prints for the run door, and daycare alerts, like a closing-soon pickup or an over-cap play group, surface on the same Needs-attention rail as boarding. Before a dog's first day, staff record a temperament evaluation and it must pass before the dog can be booked; you can also require a minimum age and proof of spay/neuter on file for intact dogs past that age. Once a group is at cap, new requests join a waitlist, and staff promote a waitlisted dog into an opening as one closes up. Owners of eligible dogs can also book their own day care days from the client portal, join or leave the waitlist themselves, and cancel their own days from the portal, with each request routed to your approval queue or straight to arrivals. Day care memberships run 1x-5x per week or Unlimited, billed monthly, with the allowance enforced at both booking and check-in. Unlimited carries a fair-use cap, overage is blocked or charged as a paid extra day depending on how you configure it, and unused visits expire, move to next week, roll over to the end of the billing period or bank up to a limit, whichever your facility chooses. A boarded member can use a membership visit for that day's play or pay the day rate, and membership usage and revenue reporting shows how each tier is performing. Staff can pause a membership, or let clients pause their own when the facility allows it, with paused days credited on the next invoice, and a membership tier can be switched from the client profile, prorated on the next invoice with the new weekly allowance starting at the next weekly reset.
You draw it once, and it takes minutes rather than an afternoon. Drop in standard runs, boarding suites, isolation or medical runs, play yards, rooms and wall labels, drag them into position on a snapping grid, and group them into named zones like a Board & Train wing or a boarding aisle. Every other kennel screen reads that one layout, so nothing has to be set up twice.
It is the sheet that gets taped to the run door: the dog's feeding plan, medications, belongings, care schedule and notes. HeelYeah! offers to print it the moment the dog is checked in, every print re-renders from live data, and the board flags a card that needs reprinting once that dog's schedule has changed.
Yes, and nothing is booked until you say so. A client picks the dog and the dates in their portal, the request lands in a Requests queue with a run held against it, and you approve or decline. Approving raises the invoice at your per-night rate and extras. You can switch client-submitted requests off entirely.
Yes. Boarding, day guests, grooming and board & train dogs all share the same board and the same floor plan, colour-coded by stay type, and each run can be restricted to the stay types it is actually suitable for. Board & train dogs assigned a real run show that run on their program page too.
Set a house care routine once: the feed, medication and turnout slots every boarding dog inherits. Any individual dog can then be adjusted on top of it. The Care Floor then shows the building's whole day grouped into morning, midday and evening, each row ticked off as it happens, with anything overdue raised on the board.
